Skirted tables. They come in all shapes and sizes. Today, let’s look at a few of the most common options. A round table can be purchased for as little as $20 and with the help of a good seamstress or tailor, you can have a custom piece that will add character to any space in your home.
You will often see skirted tables used as nightstands. This is an excellent option for creating a bedroom that doesn’t look like you started with a bed in a bag. In the example above, you can see how simple solid linens paired with the blue and white floral skirted table and pillows creates a beautiful custom space. This is also a good place to save money. Opt for less expensive solid bedding and spend your money on the accent pieces.
Here’s another example of a great custom look. The tailored skirt on this table and coordinating pillows give a graphic pop to this otherwise basic space.
This option also offers color and pattern to this neutral entry. Instead of adding in another fabric accessory, however, a blue coral sconce was added to further establish the color palette.
Finally, this is a great idea for inexpensive cubes. If you can sew, this can be a simple project. Even though this fabric pattern was not repeated in the room, the magenta trim was used on the cubes and the pillows which pulls the look together.
No matter which size or shape your choose, skirted tables offer many different ways to add a custom look to your home.

Lori, this reminds me that I never posted a tutorial about making a skirt for a cube. That last image is making me want to re-do mine. Great ideas!
