Wow, I really can’t believe that I am finally doing this. See, I’ve been reading blogs for well over a year now and thinking to myself, I would really like to do that! What a great way to share my interior design projects, my inspirations and maybe even a bit about my crazy life. But, you know how it goes, you get busy, with the family, your work, and 1000 other things that just seem to take over and you lose sight of what you really want to do.
Well, a few months ago, I decided to do it. I attended the Lavish Conference here in Atlanta and what motivation! Of course, most of the people I met there were already blogging, but they made me feel so welcome anyway. I learned a great deal at Lavish, but my biggest takeaway was the people that I met. They have helped me so much over the past couple of months and even though I have said thank you, I thought I would give a quick shout out to them in my first post, so you can check out their fabulous blogs as well.
Here goes…
Julie at Milk and Honey Home, what an amazing new friend. I reached out to Julie soon after Lavish just to ask some basic blogging questions and what was her response back? “Wanna have some coffee?” Seriously! Who does that? Julie does and so do so many other bloggers in this amazing world I find myself in. Julie has given me so much support during this process and her blog is just gorgeous!
Then there’s Lisa at Amid Privilege, I met her at my first Lavish event. I was feeling a bit out of place (you know those first day of school jitters), we started talking and I immediately felt comfortable. When I decided to get started on Twitter (a whole other story) Lisa was my go to. She was so gracious and helpful. I still don’t know everything about twitter, but Lisa got me going for sure! Her blog is beautifully written and always makes me take a second glance.
Finally, there’s Erika, Dayka, Claire and all of the other Atlanta bloggers that I have met. Thank you so much for your support. I love reading your blogs and I look forward to future lunches, coffees and projects!
So, since I’m new to this, I’m looking forward to your questions and comments. Fire away! Take a look around my site, be kind, we are still working out a few kinks, but it’s almost there. I will be posting frequently, because if you know me, you know I am very rarely short on words! Thanks for reading and look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow!
